Folkestone to Calais – Euro Tunnel

This is the quickest way to cross the channel and has the most frequent number of crossings each day taking just 35 minutes.

Dover to Calais – P&O Ferries

You might prefer to take the ferry – there are up to 60 sailings daily and the crossing duration is roughly 1 hour 50 minutes.

Advice for travelling on roads in France :

The French Traffic Police tend to congregate at the toll plaza's and watch vehicles as they pass through. Please be aware that it is an offence not to wear a seat belt when the vehicle is moving. That includes rolling to a stop at the toll plaza and pulling away while trying to put the belt back on. This also includes all passengers in the vehicle. The Police will stop and fine you if they see this and they watch UK vehicles very carefully. Please, have a safe journey.
